WEAPONS
The use of firearms and explosive devices is prohibited inside the Clear Lake Education Center boundaries.
PETS
No pets are allowed on the CLEC grounds and/or in any of the facilities..
VEHICLES
The use/operation of any all-terrain, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, golf carts and motorcycles is prohibited at the Education Center. No vehicles are allowed off the center roadway except as needed for grounds/building maintenance. Unauthorized vehicles are not permitted beyond the drop-off site. This means: no driving on the plaza in front of the lodge and dining hall or to any of the cabins. All vehicles must be park in designated areas. The camp is not responsible for any damage incurred to vehicles while on the premises.
CABINS
Food and drinks are not allowed in the cabins. Furniture in cabins may not be moved from its current position. It is currently set up according to the fire safety code, per the inspector. Any cabin with furniture moved from its current location will incur a charge of $50/cabin.
FIRE ALARMS
Smoke detectors, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers are located in all buildings. Tampering with these devices is prohibited.
CAMPERS/RV – CANOES
Campers/RV’s are allowed only with prior arrangements. Campfires are not allowed in the camping area. Renters may bring their own personal canoes/kayaks, but the center is not responsible for any loss or damage to them.
ALCOHOL
The consumption of alcohol within the Clear Lake boundaries by minors, or adults when children are present, is expressly prohibited. No alcohol is permitted in the cabins, on the dock, along the shoreline, or in watercraft or vehicles.
TOBACCO/MARIJUANA
The use of tobacco/marijuana in government owned facilities is prohibited. If you have smokers in your party, please designate one specific area for this and provide a container for refuse.
DRUGS
Possession and use of illegal drugs of any type are strictly prohibited.
WILDLIFE AND PLANTS
The intentional harming or harassing of wildlife or plants will not be tolerated – CLEC and MAMI have agreed to only collect a minimal amount of specimens for scientific purposes within the CLEC boundaries (22 acres).
OUTBOARD MOTORS
The use of outboard motors shall be limited to 10 horsepower. The use of jet skis is prohibited.
REFUSE/RECYCLING
MAMI will provide garbage and recycling bins at various locations near the buildings.
