VISITOR CHECKLIST

PERSONAL ITEMS

Bedding – sleeping bag or sheets and blankets; pillow

Clothing – weather changes quickly in the area; layered clothing works best; don’t forget rain gear and warm clothes.

Toiletries – towel, washcloth, other necessities for cleaning up

Comfort – insect repellant, sunblock, reusable water bottle

Food All food must be kept in the dining hall, in closed containers, to prevent pests from getting into it; absolutely no food or flavored drink may be kept in cabins.

Bicycles – a fun way to get around the camp; only to ridden on trails and in the fields ONLY.

First Aid/Medical Necessities – basic first aid items are available on site if needed; medical facilities are approximately 30 miles away.                   

Grills are not to be used except by the MAMI Cooking Staff.

 Lawn Chairs – benches are available on site, but feel free to bring your own favorite camp or outdoor chair to relax in.

Cameras, Binoculars, Day Packs, Reusable Water Bottles, Flashlights – you are encouraged to bring these items; the wildlife, scenery and natural areas at this location are pretty incredible!

Please do not bring in any firewood, ATVs, jet skies, boats with motors over 10hp, drugs, or weapons.  Be mindful of the fact that your group is enjoying the National Forest and use Leave No Trace practices (good to know and use elsewhere, too). Leave No Trace – https://lnt.org/
